This London Smog is a great healthier twist on a traditional Dirty London Fog. Earl Grey Tea goes so well with espresso, and tastes pretty impressive too. Impress all your guests with your barista skills with this twist on a popular drink!

London Fog or London Smog
The only difference between these two is the Smog has the added espresso shot. Just like the traditional Dirty London Fog, with a little twist on the name! A London Smog is made up of Earl Grey Tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup. Most of the syrups in stores and coffee shops are made with terrible ingredients, so that’s why I created this recipe with wholesome ingredients like honey and real vanilla!
Milk feel free to use any milk you like!
Honey make it vegan by using maple syrup or agave syrup instead.
Earl Grey Tea the quality of the tea really does make a difference, but any one will do.

Espresso
The espresso in this is the perfect afternoon pick me up. Once, again quality will make a difference in the taste. Finding a good roastery to get your beans, a chocolatey and nutty flavor profile goes really well. This is also great for the coffee drinker who doesn’t really like the taste of coffee. They want the caffeine without the taste, combined with the tea and vanilla the coffee flavor is not as pronounced.

I love a good London Fog, so when I discovered a London Smog at a local coffee shop; I knew I needed to learn to make this at home. Not only are six dollar drinks everyday a little out of budget, but getting out of the house daily with five kiddos? Just for coffee? (not to minimize the importance of caffeine!) Nah homemade is my jam!
