This garlic Dijon Salmon is so flavorful and delicious. Paired with rice and veggies its quick to make and sure to impress.

Salmon
Salmon is a great and healthy fish option. It is high in selenium which is important for thyroid and reproductive health along with several other important bodily functions. This fish is also high in omega 3 fatty acids which is beneficial for brain health, as well as helps decrease inflammation. Making this a great addition to your family’s weekly rotation!
When choosing salmon its best to opt for wild caught. Although salmon also contains mercury it is considered a low mercury fish. Unless you are dealing with an overload of toxins your body should be able to remove the small amount of mercury found in it with little effort.
Prep
Before putting the seasoning paste on make sure to use a paper towel to gently squeeze out all the liquid.

Seasoning paste
The Dijon mustard really is the star in this dish! If you can buying a really good quality Dijon will make a huge difference. Once you have all ingredients prepped you can mix them all together in a bowl. Use a basting brush to brush the paste on. It’s really that easy to have a delicious impressive salmon dish at home!

Finishing up
Once the salmon has been brushed with the seasoning paste top with lemon slices. Wala it’s ready for the oven. When cooking it can cause a liquid to bubble out and turn white. This is normal and does not mean that the salmon is not good, or not cooked all the way. This is some of the liquid proteins called Albumin coming out, and they turn white when exposed to heat.
