Homemade taco seasoning
Lets face it homemade is better….. most of the time that is. Not only does it usually taste better, it’s usually healthier too. This seasoning comes together quickly with ingredients you most likely already have on your spice rack. I love to make a huge batch to have on hand all the time. I don’t just use it for tacos, but pretty much any beef dish can be enhanced with a little taco seasoning.
There are several reasons I love homemade seasonings. I love that I can customize them to our liking. It saves us a fair amount of money when I consider how many seasoning mixes I make myself. Most of all it’s free from all the unnecessary ingredients. I’m always reading labels, avoiding as many preservatives, dyes, and other filler ingredients as possible. This way I know what I’m putting on our food.
